Los Angeles, USA, August 11, 2022 – Today, Urban Movement Labs (UML), a non-profit in Los Angeles with the mission of linking government, businesses, and communities to match technology solutions to mobility challenges, has announced its collaboration with Siemens Digital Industries Software. Urban Movement Labs is excited to collaborate with Siemens around a series of events to engage the public in a dialogue on mobility challenges and how new technologies might improve transportation in Los Angeles and beyond. Additionally, potential future pilot deployments led by Urban Movement Labs can be informed by Siemens’ broad expertise across multiple modes of transport, including electric vehicles and urban air mobility.

This fall, Urban Movement Labs will present a series of events titled “Humans of New Mobility” in collaboration with Siemens. This series of interactive workshops will provide a platform for community members, providers, and regulators of transportation technologies in California and beyond. Together, this group will co-create a narrative for the future of mobility by discussing topics ranging from electric vehicles, shared mobility, freight technologies, urban air mobility, and the importance of building multimodality in cities.

“Siemens is thrilled to collaborate with Urban Movement Labs and help enable future mobility initiatives for Los Angeles and other U.S. cities,” states Del Costy, Sr. VP of Americas Sales at Siemens. “Siemens has a long history in the mobility and transportation industry. Working with Urban Movement Labs will help us to explore how our technology and the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio might help to improve mobility in communities of Los Angeles and beyond.”
